    Geauga Park District offers countless ways to enjoy spring, including stroller-friendly paths perfect for all ages. And whether it’s a paved loop, scenic boardwalk or gentle gravel trail, these routes make it easy for families to enjoy time together in a simple, meaningful way.

    To help plan your outing, our knowledgeable team of Geauga Park District naturalists have listed these 10 stroller-friendly walks and why they love them:

    Observatory Park’s Planetary Trail
    Distance: 0.85 mile

    A favorite for curious minds, this gravel loop brings the solar system to life with interpretive stops along the way. Flexible routes make it easy to shorten or extend your walk. Bonus: the nearby Woodland Loop Trail is typically bursting with spring wildflowers around Mother’s Day.

    The Maple Highlands Trail
    Distance: up to 21.1 miles depending on where you start and stop

    Any portion of this paved trail provides smooth rolling for strollers, with bridges to cross and a variety of habitats to enjoy along the way, including wooded stretches and open scenery.

    Beartown Lakes Reservation‘s Lake Trail
    Distance: 0.7 mile

    Enjoy the paved lake loop, complete with bridges, beautiful waterside views, and a brand-new Nature-based playground nearby, perfect for little ones before or after your walk.

    Frohring Meadows‘ Dragonfly Trail
    Distance: 0.7 mile

    This paved path winds through open prairie, where spring and early summer bring colorful wildflowers and plenty of pollinator activity.

    Sunnybrook Preserve‘s Pine Ridge Trail
    Distance: 0.25 mile

    The quiet paved trail just off the parking lot is ideal for a relaxing stroll, with peaceful surroundings and easy access. Double the loop to extend your stay and catch what you missed the first time.

    The Rookery’s Woodcock Trail
    Distance: 0.58 mile

    This nice paved trail comes with a unique twist for evening walkers: visit at dusk for a chance to witness the American woodcock’s fascinating aerial courtship display — a memorable experience for Nature-loving moms!

    Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve
    Distance: either 1.18 mile or approximately 0.5 mile, depending on your route

    At this fan-favorite park, take either the paved loop around the lake or a shorter route along the shoreline and meadow. Ducks, geese and other wildlife make this a hit with young children, along with the many different breeds of dog that frequent the trail.

    Bessie Benner Metzenbaum Park‘s Evergreen Trail
    Distance: 0.3 mile

    This paved trail travels through both deciduous and coniferous woodlands, offering a diverse and shaded setting for a comfortable walk.

    Orchard Hills Park‘s Sedge Trail
    Distance: 0.3 mile

    This paved path through prairie and wetland areas provides scenic views and opportunities to spot birds and blooming plants. Enjoy the orchard-themed playground after you’ve explored.

    Holbrook Hollows‘ White Pine Way
    Distance: 0.5 mile

    A shorter paved trail gently winds through meadow and along the forest edge, ideal for a quick but peaceful outing, and also pairs nicely with time at the Nature-based playground.
